While the City of Seattle was scrambling to find funding for its annual Independence Day Fireworks Show, Everett stood tall with plans for a spectacular Fourth of July experience.
Local businesses, including independent insurance agency, McClain Insurance Services, came together to ensure that Everett’s Independence Day festivities would be a “Go!”
“I’ve lived in Everett for over 30 years. The idea of not having a parade or fireworks was just unthinkable!” says agency owner, Claudia McClain. “I know the memories that my family was able to make when our children were small, and I feel blessed to be able to pay it forward to our community today. Families, friends and neighbors are what Independence Day is all about!”
With a family fun run, parade, street festival and one grand fireworks show – the “Thunder on the Bay, ” local residents can look forward to celebrating our national holiday in style.

The agency has been a proud sponsor of the popular “Cinema Under The Stars” summer outdoor movie series at Thornton A. Sullivan Park near Silver Lake in South Everett for many years. This year, McClain Insurance, in collaboration with PEMCO Insurance and the famous “PEMCO Wally Van” are looking forward to meeting some scruffy sailors for the Opening Night movie “The Pirates, Band of Misfits – It’s a Plunderful Life” on Friday, July 19th
